About Us
Who We Are
Vivy Green and Humanity, also known as Greeny, is a non-profit association founded in 2020 by Vivy Travel Madagascar. We work on environmental conservation, sustainable tourism, training and community projects.
Why we started
Illegal logging of rosewood, the unregulated export of natural resources and bush fires have damaged Madagascar’s forests for years. During the COVID-19 crisis, parts of national parks were burnt to clear land for farming.
In 2020, a group of young Malagasy people decided to act. We started with awareness projects in educational centres and with community initiatives linked to tourism.
Our team
The team is entirely Malagasy: tourism graduates, regional and national guides, and university lecturers in sustainable development and conservation.
We started in the Highlands, around Antananarivo. With our regional partners, we now run activities in other parts of the country.
Environmental and humanitarian work
Most of our work is environmental. We also take part in humanitarian projects: helping disadvantaged families and providing water and basic supplies.
Our values
Sustainability, integrity and respect guide how we choose projects, work with communities and report to our partners.
