Mission 02
Local Crafts & Heritage
Basketry, weaving, woodcarving and Antemoro paper are part of Madagascar's identity. Many of these crafts use wood and plant fibres that are becoming scarce. We support artisans who want to keep their skills and adapt them.
Working with artisans
Some artisans now use less endangered local woods, recycled paper for Antemoro paper, natural dyes, or plastic waste turned into useful objects. We help them make these changes and sell their work.
Art and culture
With local artists, schools and cultural institutions, we organise exhibitions, performances and workshops on environmental topics, including slam, poetry and kabary, the Malagasy art of public speaking.
Responsible tourism and local products
Travellers can visit artisans, see how they work and buy directly from them. Part of the income from the sale of local products funds our projects.
Get Involved
